Role: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT infrastructure. The role requires diagnosing hardware/software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth IT operations to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Mac OS and approved applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
- Manage user accounts and access rights in Active Directory and Office 365.
- Ensure proper maintenance of anti-virus, security patches, and OS updates.
- Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi access, and VPN connections.
- Log, track, and manage support tickets using the IT helpdesk system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT hardware and software assets.
- Assist in IT onboarding/off boarding for new hires and leavers.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs/replacements.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.
- Follow and enforce IT policies and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
One-year Desktop Support Engineer, IT Technician, or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
